Home Interior

The owner wanted to restore this space to reflect its original era, honoring its historical charm while making it relevant for today. To achieve this, we thoughtfully layered traditional and modern elements, creating a seamless blend of old and new. Carefully chosen colors brought warmth and depth, enhancing the architectural details and breathing new life into the interiors. The result is a space full of character, where heritage meets contemporary comfort.

Bathroom

This bathroom needed reimagining, with a focus on creating something both striking and functional. We chose classic black and white floor tiles to anchor the space with a timeless pattern, and introduced a herringbone wall tile.

A soft yet stunning peach tone was selected for the walls, bringing warmth and personality without overpowering the room. To balance the monochrome palette and add a touch of natural texture, we introduced a wooden vanity unit — a grounding element that softens the graphic tilework and adds depth to the overall design.

The client was thrilled with the result, noting how the design gave the bathroom a unique identity and elevated the entire feel of their home.

Our client wanted to celebrate the room's beautiful original features while creating a warm relaxing nursery. We chose a delicate pattern wallpaper as the starting point, then painted the skirting boards, picture rail, and door in a soft pink drawn from the wallpapers palette. The walls above the picture rail and ceiling were finished in an off white to keep the space light yet cosy. The original fireplace now stands out as a charming focal point, while layers of texture- from plush rugs to cosy cushions - add warmth and softness throughout.

Living Space

This space was in need of a more open and airy feel, so we chose to remove the upper cabinets and replace them with a single, streamlined shelf. This simple change instantly created a sense of spaciousness and allowed the room to breathe. To add depth and a touch of drama, we opted for a daring dark color on the lower cabinets—a bold choice that turned out to be incredibly stylish and grounding, perfectly balancing the lightness above.

Kitchen

In this kitchen, the client wanted to bring in a touch of country charm while keeping the overall design simple and understated. We feel this was beautifully achieved by painting the cabinets in a warm, inviting yellow and pairing them with soft off-white walls to create a light, welcoming atmosphere. To maintain a clean eyeline, we removed visual clutter and added custom doors over the oven and microwave, subtly nodding to traditional design. Along with carefully chosen lighting that complemented the classic aesthetic, these details came together to create a space that feels both timeless and comfortable.

For this project, the client wanted to reconnect their living room with its Victorian roots while introducing a refined modern aesthetic. We began by removing a non-original fireplace and installing a second-hand wood-burning stove to restore a sense of period character. The existing carpet was replaced with wood flooring to create warmth, texture, and a timeless foundation.

To enhance the architectural details, particularly the coving, we chose a calming blue wall colour that adds depth without overwhelming the space. Decorative bird prints and soft lighting from classic-style lamps were added to evoke a vintage feel. Finally, we replaced the original frosted glass with clear panels—flooding the room with natural light and offering a more open, contemporary atmosphere. The result is a space that feels both elegant and lived-in, perfectly balancing heritage with modern comfort.
